Professional Liability Insurance Information

The professional indemnity insurance of Meyer und Kollegen PartG mbB is with HDI Versicherung AG; HDI Platz 1, 30659 Hannover.

The territorial scope of the insurance cover includes activities in at least the member states of the European Union and meets at least the professional requirements of Section 67 of the German Tax Consultancy Act (StBerG), Sections 51 et seq. of the Ordinance on the Implementation of the Regulations on Tax Consultants, Tax Agents and Tax Consultancy Companies (DvStB), and Section 51 of the Federal Lawyers' Act (BRAO).

Territorial Scope of Professional Liability Insurance for the Activity as a Tax Advisor (AVB WSR 558)

the states of Europe, Turkey, the Russian Federation and the other states of the former Soviet Union, as well as non-European territories of European states that belong to the EU or the EEA.

Liability claims are covered,
(1) those asserted in the courts of these countries and
(2) from the violation or non-compliance with the law of these countries.

Worldwide up to the statutory minimum insurance sum for liability claims arising from the violation or non-compliance with foreign law, provided that these claims arose in the course of professional services relating to tax law of these states and the mandate is based on German law.

In these cases, the insurer's obligation to pay is limited to four times the legally required minimum insurance sum. If the agreed contract coverage sum is less than four times the minimum insurance sum, the insurer's obligation to pay in the aforementioned cases is limited to the contract coverage sum.

The insurance coverage does not apply to liability claims arising from activities conducted through foreign branches, subsidiaries, or other offices abroad.

Information Obligation pursuant to § 36 Paragraph 1 Number 1 VSBG

There is no obligation or willingness to participate in a dispute resolution procedure before a consumer arbitration board.
